Did my GPU just die?

I got a Gigabyte radeon hd7850 windforce 2gb. And i were gona plug a cabel into the mini-display port on the GPU, and then as i plug it in a see a brief flash on the Mini-display connector to the GPU. And now i test it and it seems the edges of my browser started flickering black squares. Then i tried rebooting, no effect. Then i figured i should test a game. I launched Far cry 3 and it lagged like crazy. But the fans on the GPU keeps on spinning tho'. Is my GPU dead?

Well, since i still see me screen and the fans keeps spinning it cant be completely dead, but damaged?

I found a solution. I rolled back my drivers in the device manager and it suddenly worked all fine. Strange, because i haven't installed any new drivers recently
