I bought a pre built PC with the following specs a month ago:

CPUi7-14700F
Number of Cores20 (8 P-cores, 12 E-cores)
Number of Threads28
Clock Speed2.1 GHz base P-core, up to 5.40 GHz Max Turbo
Processor Cooling240mm AIO Liquid Cooling
Memory32GB
Memory Config32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 RGB RAM
Memory Slots4
SSD Capacity2TB
GPUGeForce RTX 4070 SUPER
Graphics Memory12 GB
Power Supply750W
MotherboardGIGABYTE B760M GAMING X AX

Here's my story:

I got a 10 second freeze while gaming
Played fine for another hour or two then a total freeze.
I restarted PC, boot up same game, check temperatures, clock speeds and voltages.
All the parameters look fine EXCEPT some are not showing and they used to.

I look at task manager and see 15.8 GB usable (I have 32gb installed)
Turn off PC boot in BIOS, 32GB are showing.
I think maybe I disable XMP and it might help.
Boot PC, black screen boot loop. (Dim and CPU lights on MOBO are red)

I tried the usual RAM switcheroo, 1, 2, different slots, etc.
Tried to reset CMOS, no luck (I have not changed battery didn't have one)
I have not removed cpu and reseat it
Nor have I removed the GPU (didn't have thermal paste and screwdriver)

I'm looking for ideas before bringing it to the store or trying new hardware.

Power Supply750W
what specific make & model?

Nor have I removed the GPU (didn't have thermal paste and screwdriver)
your GPU is only connected via PCIe slot.
does not require screwdriver to remove and you shouldn't be messing with it's housing/paste/thermal pads.

Boot PC, black screen boot loop
what do you mean by, "boot loop"?

if there is only a black screen how do you determine that it is constantly rebooting;
light's activity, motherboard code, etc..?

Tried to reset CMOS, no luck
does this board have a reset button/switch or are you just removing the battery?
if battery, how long have you left it out?

looking for ideas before bringing it to the store or trying new hardware
how long have you had the system and what is it's warranty length?

The bracket screwed to the case ? Not sure what the lack of paste has to do with it but you do need a phillips to get the gpu out.

- Not sure about the model
- It has a Philips screw but I didn't try by hand
- paste for pcu if I unseat it
- "boot loop" power on, black screen (no bios), turns off by itself, restart again and again
- no button, battery only more than 10 minutes
- just a month, standard warranty. But if I can avoid moving the computer and fix it myself at minimal cost I'll do it myself.
