Good morning.
I have been having issues with my laptop for months. Before continue those are my laptop specs:

Laptop: ASUS X556UA (purchased in 2017 brand new)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.59 GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB (7.87 GB usable) - 4GB motherboard + 4GB Samsung Ram DDR3
System: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
OS: Win 10 Home
Version: 21H2
Bios: X556UA.411 (latest version)
Graphic: Intel HD Graphics 520

Basically everything started in February when my laptop started having problems. It was taking longer and longer to boot and start windows, when suddenly it refuses to boot, basically I had to change my old HHD with a brand new Crucial BX500 CT480BX500SSD1 480 GB. Everything was fine for few weeks when suddenly I started having same problem then before more or less. My laptop started (again) "scan and repair" at boot, after few times it refused to start -> "S.M.A.R.T Status Bad back up and replace" . Probably (I thought) it was a faulty SSD so I took advantage of guarantee to change it with a new one (same model). Now, after few months from the new SSD installation my laptop started check and repair again, plus it is acting weird for a few weeks: it is very slow sometimes freeze for seconds even if I use it for simple process like loading a browser's tab or open a folder or task manager. I thought it could be an SSD issue again, but I made some checks and it seems perfectly fine. This is the list of tests I made so far:

sfc/scannow - Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
CrystalDiskInfo disk check - status: good health
CrucialStorageExecutive disk check - status: good health
RAM test using MEMTEST86: everything is fine.

For completeness I also updated Win10 using PowerShell, Win10 is completely updated. BIOS has latest version (as mentioned above).
I also opened my laptop and checked cables and pins, everything seems plugged fine, and there isn't any visible damage to the hardware. If something has been damaged installing drives or cleaning is not visible by the naked eye.

it would be strange but I wonder if its a power issue. Power can kill drives, but I have no idea about laptops, I assume it uses a power brick? not sure a battery could cause it.

maybe try running this on CPU - https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/15951/19792/intel-processor-diagnostic-tool.html?

Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

this isn't a reset, all it does is stops non microsoft programs running at startup, easily reversed.

if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.

Hi @Colif , thanks for your help. I tried everything you suggested. Processor Diagnostic tool didn't find anything wrong. I also tried to perform a clean boot and it probably was better, but startup programs were already disabled, may be the issue is related to some Service.
Among services I disabled there are: nordVPN, OracleORADB21, OracleServiceXE, Steam Cient, Intel Graphics Command center and Intel Graphics control panel, Google Update and Google Chrome Elevation, ESIF Upper Framework.
I am now trying to disable them once at time and see which one causing the issue.

If you have any other suggestion meanwhile, let me know, thanks

I can't see a service killing 3 storage drives. might cause the freezing but i am not sure.

I would get a repair store to look at it and see if they can find a cause. I suspect its hardware of some nature as software shouldn't be the reason.
