Does my mobo have SATA III ports cause i bought a ssd yesterday samsung pm 830 and read/write speed are 280mb/s ish.
Do i need to install any drivers for it cause on the specs it says somethin like

Marvell 88SE9172 chip:
  1. 2 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors (GSATA3_0, GSATA3_1) supporting up to 2 SATA 6Gb/s devices
  2. Support for SATA RAID 0 and RAID 1

Solution
MB does support SATA3 (6Gb/s) but on a chip (Marvel) separate from Chipset where SATA 2 is controlled from. Those chips were not as good as later ones but still provide better speeds with SSDs than SATA2. Note that you need a proper driver for it to work like it should.
Drivers are in that link.
