Question Dog chewed my laptop adapter, do I replace it or can I get the wire fixed ?

Hey Guys, I have a MSI Sword 15 laptop and recently my dog chewed through the power cable that connects to the laptop with a pin connector.

Do I ask for a replacement cable from MSI or, as my local dealer says, you have to replace the entire power brick itself?

From my viewpoint:

1) the cable is permanent to the power brick: thus not "unplug and replug" replacecable.

2) the short length of cable stil remaining is probably too short to splice into.

3) the brick and cable may have other unseen damages.

My recommendation is to replace the entire power brick and cable.

Be sure that your dog did not eat any pieces of the cable. Is all of the cable accounted for?
