DVI-D to VGA

I recently order a new monitor http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0085H66NU/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
i looked at what DVI thing i needed and it said i needed a DVI-D
i tried searching on Amazon for one but i didn't really find one that was good (long lasting) and not to expensive. Can someone help on figure this out so it will work with my computer. i don't really know to much about monitors and DVI to VGA.

The monitor has both VGA analog and DVI-D which is digital. Either should hook up to your computer with your current cable.

You should not need an adapter since your current monitor either has VGA or DVI cable to it.

what if i wanted to do duel monitor would i need a DVI for that other monitor?

Depends of what connections you have on your computer.

What kind of display output ports on your computer. That's what VGA and DVI are describing.

Look at the back of your computer and see which ports you have, and you'll want to get a monitor that has those kinds of ports. If you have more than one, you can run dual monitor (again matching the second port to a monitor with that kind of port).

You can't. DVI-D EXPLICITLY drops the analog component of the signal, so you can't convert back to VGA. I'm shocked everyone isn't using DVI-I for that reason...
