Please stop creating new threads to ask the same basic question.
Hello, since I built my pc (5 days ago) my ethernet keeps randomly disconnecting for a few seconds. I've tried switching ports on my router but it didn't work. When it disconnects (btw i use ethernet) it lasts for like 3-5 seconds. For some reason, it happens more frequently when I am in a call on discord. pls help as its very annoying.

Edit: I have also updated my network drivers but that didn't work

Open a cmd.exe window and run the command -- ipconfig.exe /all | findstr Lease
That will show you how long the DHCP lease is. If it is very short, then you could lose connectivity when it renews.
The lease renews after 1/2 the duration shown between the two times shown in the command.

Hi, I've made another thread about this but i keep having this problem 🙁. What essentially is happening is that my ethernet disconnects for like 2 seconds and then it reconnects. Note that it happens more frequently when i am on a call on discord. I've tried uninstalling the ethernet device from device manager and rebooting so it installs the default drivers and that didnt exactly work, i've also tried installing the latest drivers but same. BUT i've also tried disabling all the settings on the ethernet adapter related to power saving like EEE and green ethernet. also note that when i reinstall drivers it stops happening for a little while. if anyone can find all the settings related to power saving that i should disable pls send..
Edit: I've searched a bit more and I found that I might need to test a new cable

Does the ethernet actually disconnect or do you just lose connection to the internet. A actual ethernet outage you normally get a red x network thing. There should be error messages in the event log at least showing the ethernet went down and maybe if you are lucky why.

When it disconnects I see a white circle with an x

I've made countless posts about this and thats because i havent found a solution. My ethernet keeps disconnecting and reconnecting for 2 seconds and when it does that the computer says that the cable is unplugged. I've tried disabling all settings related to eee and green ethernet but nothing. NOTE 2 things, 1 is that it happens more frequently when i am on discord call and gaming and that 2 the same ethernet cable worked perfectly when i had my laptop. pls try to find settings that i should disable or tell me if somethings wrong with the jack or that i need to buy a new cable

I have the EXACT issue as you, if you find a solution please write it on here. Thanks
yo man I feel bad for you, anyways, what I did is I went to device manager, uninstalled the Realtek PCIe GBE controller and I restarted so that windows would install the default drivers. I also changed a few settings, first try the first thing and if that doesn't solve it reply and I will tell you which ones, hope that solves your problem CAUSE IT'S SOOO ANNOYING, also sorry for late response, I got an email notifying me of this like 10 mins ago for some reason
