My System:-
Ryzen 2400G, ASUS Prime A320M-K, Crucial Ballistix 2x16 GB RAM, 140GB Kinston SSD, 1 Tb WD Blue, Internet via LAN cable. I was running Windows 10 Pro Version 1909. 64-Bit.
I've been having this annoying problem after recent critical update. MY biggest blunder was not setting System Restore before I went for it. My drivers were all up to date at the time. Since all my personal data was on the secondary HDD, I could even afford to try out a clean install. Which I did! Many times!
Now windows 10 started Lagging and became unresponsive. Rolled back the Update and now the whole system started being slower On the Login screen and freezes just right after logging in. I Updated the BIOS, Did a clean install almost half a dozen times. Only Runs OK in safe mode. I've done testing the SSD, even gave Linux a try, that's working. I would've stuck to that but Linux Mint has some issues in Restart and Shut down and the Data that I need from my secondary HDD is inaccessible.
Funny thing is now even after a clean install, it runs smoothly only till the required restart after installing chipset drivers / system updates. Once that happens Hell Freezes Over and Over again.
I'd also like to mention that when the system does run after a clean install, most of the time i am unable to run cmd as administrator even though I signed in with my hotmail password and my user details shows me as Administrator. the only time I was able to use it as Admin I did SFC and that came out clean. Haven't been able to get to use DSIM.
Another funny thing, Login after a clean install is always showing this pop up that some app is trying to change default .html / .txt handling and system sets default to Edge. All this is before I am even able to install any secondary app. I can't get to use the start menu. I am stuck with using Run for getting to MS-Config/CMD. Even that crawls.
I've been to windows 10 forums and all they do is give a generic answer that aims to click or get into some update setting, etc. I've done updates, all others possible. There isn't anything that seems to cover a situation where nothing is clickable other than a hard shutdown and a clean install. Tried to Install same version that was before Win 10 Pro version 1909 then tried upgrading to 2004, then 2020. Nothing seems to work beyond the first restart. Except during safe mode. During these days can't even go around to many places. It's been like this since almost 10 days now. What do I Do? Would it help if I download and flash the older BIOS version?

Solution
if you can't test it all in Linux, I would clean install win 10 again but leave it unattached from internet so it can't update itself

Then I would run tests on hardware, here are some you can run without windows, the storage ones need windows though.

Try running memtest86 on each of your ram sticks, one stick at a time, up to 4 passes. Only error count you want is 0, any higher could be cause of the BSOD. Remove/replace ram sticks with errors.

Sounds to me like the update just identified a problem, didn't cause.
if everything runs fine on standard drivers and only starts to mess up on its real drivers, I would test parts in PC.
Run linux and run tests on all your hardware in it.

Does it run fine in safe mode?
go to settings/update & security/recovery
under advanced startup, click restart now button
this restarts PC in a blue menu
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose startup options
click the restart button
choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
Pc will restart and load safe mode

Oh yes, This is where I get baffled. It runs fine in Safe Mode. Last night I performed Reset via the Recovery Mode and the Post Installation Setup Stage started to hang each click.
