Floating point application

I am working with an optical ray tracing software. This application uses EXTENSIVELY CPU computing power (mostly calculating SINE and COSINE functions). At the present I am using a P4 1.8Ghz with 512Mb RAM, and I am looking for a faster one. I would like to know if some one can recommend me a combination of CPu + Motherboard that will give me the best performance. Money is not and issue (well almost...) and I don't need graphic performance (in fact, usualy I start a session close the monitor and return after a few days for results).

What application is it?
If it is optimised for P4 SSE2/3 then I would get a 3.2C p4. If not, a 3200+ A64. (Athlons have a faster FPU) <A HREF="http://www.aceshardware.com/Spades/read.php?article_id=40000190" target="_new"> Old info, but still very usefull, </A> since both the P4C and A64 use the same basic core.

The application name is ZEMAX "www.zemax.com". I don't know if it is optimized for SSE but I will ask their support.
