OK, I downloaded HWMonitor. Wow, so much information. I guess I'll just post max values.

Mobo: 33C
CPU: 50C (but then shows max of 52C for "package" under the individual core temps)
RAMs averaging about 40C
GPU: 57C

There are also temps for my SSD's and the single HDD that I have in here temporarily. I really don't know what temp is too high. That's part of the reason I haven't tried overclocking yet. I don't know temps and voltages. I know that that my mobo has it's own software for overclocking. I guess that would be safe but I still don't understand what i'm looking at. Anyway, this is not the OC forum, just thought I would pass these temps along since you asked.

Yep its definitely a good card, I used to run mine out of the case with a pci riser, it was just so hot.

I have a be quiet Silent Base 800 which comes stock with two-140mm front and one-120mm rear. The Swiftech H240X is top mounted with two-140mm fans exhausting out of the top. The PSU is bottom mounted, fan down. No additional fans. Maybe later, if warranted, an additional 120mm rad mounted to the front fans for GPU cooling.

Oh, my 850 Evo's temps are 30C and the SM915 is 40C.

As the Scandinavian weather has finally realized summer is over, I've started up my folding again. I removed the CPU folding slot, and the system doesn't even feel like it's giving off any more heat than when I was folding CPU + R9 270. The exhaust got pretty toasty when I tried CPU + R9 290 though. 😀

Anyway, six figures PPD here I come! :bounce:

do not forget us guys in the 30s.i been blasting along.i been with windows 10 for the last three weeks.HATED IT.rolled back to seven basic 64.I am not shouting abuse at the monitor now .

I had to temporarily shut down my computer. I heard a drip-drip-drip from my computer and found a slight dampness in the bottom. My new Swiftech H240 X needs inspecting.

i cannot tell you how much i disliked it.it was awful. i found it slower than 7 i found i could not OC as far as i can on 7 and you do not get something for nothing as my granny says.i could list the reasons but it would take too long.i had no use for my spy in the cab and weather reports and all that crap.half my stuff didnt work and had to be unistalled re installed so i rolled back BUT you CANT roll back and windows 7 disc could not repair it so clean install.you can keep it.it DOES upoad data to microsoft and you do not know what it is mmm after snowden talk on smart phones il stick

I think everyone appreciates everyone's efforts on this team large or small.

When I first started we were way down the list, top 100 still.

Been holding off the ""FREE"" upgrade/downgrade to 10 as I am so comfortable with W7, but I did go from XP Pro to W7 so that shows my inability to accept "change"!!

Installing new card😀

Anyone got any info on running team red alongside team green??

Dampness in the bottom....phnarr, phnarr.........lol..

nice waterblock.wish i had that kind of doe.if i did id sell my r9 280x and put the 165.00 towards an KFA ge force 8 pack card .mmmm cardeee [in homer voice]

Just tried hooking up my 280X alongside my new Nvidia card and everything went haywire!

Lost the wu I was over half way through and it recognised the AMD card as the main card even though it wasn't in the main slot.

It then continually downloaded wu's for the 280X but never started folding, hmmm.

Have you tried deleting everything and doing a fresh install of the F@H client with both cards installed?

Personally I would just run the basic drivers for both cards, I have yet to try it myself but considering the amount of CPU overhead required by Nvidia's cards/drivers when folding having the AMD card in the primary slot kind of makes sense.
