Pretzel into the top 10, congrats
Thanks Beano!
Nice to be back. moved from Ann Arbor out west, commuting weekly back east took away too much time and couldn't get the equipment upgraded & running.
I think I finally got my two 980Tis stable.
Here in Southern Cal they keep the room WARM.
Both are running around 70-75C with Core clock down to 1290
they kept crashing when they hit 80C so I used MSI Kombustor to reduce the core clock - I hope that was the right way
they seems to be running at 75% power and 93% utilization
I'm guessing that running continuously rather than on/off is better for PPD and longevity.
in the last 246 hours I've used 156Kw if I read the powermeter right- glad I've got a couple of solar panels to keep the cost down (I hope) - they definitely add to the AC load.
pulling 5.4 amps at 114v= ~600watts of heat being dumped into the office area.constantly.
today we are getting 615K to 620K PPD on either, the CPU only contributing heat and a measely 20K PPD and depending on the project usually takes twice as long as the GPU to process a WU. not sure the CPU is worth it given the heat load. Are there any WU that actually need the CPU anymore--was thinking folding now is GPU centric.
running all leftover cores on my 6700K full out @~70watts but at 75-80C
probably should find a better cooler than the single fans on t he Coolermaster
You guys have any advice to improve slot configurations?
I current use:
paused=false
client-type=advanced
next-unit-percentage=100
what else would be useful?
Got my 980s just before I learned about the 1080-- had been offline too long to keep up with technology changes.
Thought I had read that DD was getting a set but haven't seen how well they do.
Anyone have a 1070 running?
Pretzel
