Recently the blank search has been hitting many people. There are many fixes out there but if there are still problems for people, try going to task manager> windows explorer and press restart. Worked for me, maybe will help you all out there. Cheers.

I noticed it last night, it fixed itself after restarting my computer update windows. Windows claimed to have fixed the issue:

Yup! restarting Windows Explorer does the trick!
