The floor can be a very useful structure if you know how to use it properly. There are about four different variants of a floor and all of them can be created easily. To know how to create those variants and what they do, refer to the guide below:
Basic Floor:
This is the most basic structure and you can place it by just selecting floor and putting in on the ground. No editing is required for this and it is mostly used to get cover from above or to place launch pad as it cannot be placed on the ground. But besides that, it is not used for any other purpose.
Angled side rail:
The angled side rail is very easy to create and it can help get cover from two crossing sides as its railings are next to each other. To create an angled side rail, all you need to do is to first select floor as your structure and then place it. Once done, go into edit mode by pressing “G” and then deselect the top right corner by clicking on it. Now place it and it will be an angled side rail structure that will provide you cover from two crossing sides.
Floor with Side Rail:
Another easy to create structure and an effective one. It will help you get cover from one side and due to the wide railing, it will allow you to move a bit while staying in cover. To create the floor with side rail, you need to first select floor as your structure and the place it. Now go into edit mode and deselect the right line of sections. Now place it and it will be a floor with a side rail.
Floor with Double Sided Railing:
Another great structure and easy to create as well. This structure will help you get cover from two opposing sides while allowing you to move a bit while staying in cover as it has wide railings. In order to create the floor with double-sided railing you need to first select floor and then place it. Now go into edit mode and deselect the sections from opposing left and right corners. Now place it and it will create a floor with double-sided railings.
Defensive Structure:
This one is also very easy to create and can be put into place in just seconds. It will provide you cover with three different sides and you will be open to fire just from the back area. In order to create this structure, you need first to select the floor and then place it. Now go into edit mode and then deselect three sections but let the section on top right corner selected. Now place it and you will have a defensive structure.
These are all the different structures that you can create with a floor and it is easy to create them. Remember, you can always rotate the position of a structure by pressing the “R” button.
