[SOLVED] FSP 500w 80+ Gold good enough

Originally from an acer predator g3 605.
Was wondering if the 500w 80plus gold power supply would be enough to handle:

i5 8400
rtx 2060
16gb ram

If it has got 1 8 pin adapter I think its safe to use unless... the pc is older then 5 years.

bought this PC in 2013 - 2014 it has 2 6 pin adapters and a spare 2 pin.

I would avoid it in that case, I think those new hier tier components should come with a new power supply.
Better be safe then sorry.

Perhaps you can use it for a low budget build for your little brooter.

Anyways I recommand you a corsair rmx/rmi , seasonic focus/prime , evga supernova g3 and the wattage 550w.

Already spent a lot on this upgrade. Is it definitly to risky to use my Power suply?? is the one you suggested the best value I can get? Do you think using the power supply for a few weeks before I get a new one will be ok?

Like I said above it's a decent PSU made by FSP , UPGRADE IN THE FUTURE , you can use for your specs proposed above.

Thank you for the link. It looks like I will also need to buy that 12pin to 24pin adapter as the PSU only has a 12pin.

That's right most Acer and Lenovo have the 12 pin power on the MB.
