Hello Ive bought Hyper Fury x 2x 8gb 1866mhz ram that Ive paired with my Trident X G .skill 2400mhz cl10 2x8gb ram
I wanted to have 32gb ram on 1866 mhz speed but It wont let me use 1866 mhz only 1800, computer crashes otherwise, got blue screen or won't even start.
And when I was booting first time it was set to 1300mhz, so I had to disable XMP and enable auto and put manually on 1800mhz speed

my rig is:
Maximus VII Hero
gpu: asus strix 1080ti
cpu: i7-4790k with no OC
psu: corsair 750w golden

here are the parts link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PzgMsL

So why won't it let me use 1866 mhz speed when I put it on auto or when I put it manually ?
I understand that Trident x ram runs on 1,65 voltage and on XMP profile 2400mhz (before this new ram)

Mixing RAM kits is never guaranteed to work without issues even if the same model. You have actually been lucky the system even boots. At this point you can try increasing the DRAM voltage and/or loosening the timings but ultimately it’s trial and error to see if you can get the RAM to be stable.

Okay thank you, yea they are both cl10 and was checking pc part picker it didnt show me compatible issues but I understand its tricky with Ram
I think I'll leave it on 1800mhz 32gb now since its stable.

If I increase the voltage it will even more exceed compatibility for mobo and cpu 1,65 v for TRident x is already risky I think
