Hey all, I'm new with the whole computer scene and have a series of questions.

Will the GT 710 work in the A78M? What I mean is, it says that the GT 710 (https://www.amazon.ca/Computer-GT-710-2GD3H-LP/dp/B01DOFD3RY?th=1 ) has "PCI Express 2.0 x16 (uses x8)" type interface(?) What does that mean exactly? Would that still work with the A78M-E35 V2 and other motherboards(https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/A78M-E35-V2/Specification)?I have the graphics card and the A78M but I'm not sure if I even put it in correctly. I'm used to the GPU taking up the entire PCIE slot but while looking at the GT 710 while it is in the motherboard...it just looks wrong and awkward to me. The GT 710 takes up half of the slot and honestly asking this question probably makes me look like an idiot but Id rather learn so I won't be an idiot haha.

Thanks for any help lads and or lasses!

PCIE slots are backwards-compatible.

Yes, the GPU looks awkwardly small. Because it's barely a GPU. The normal GPUs you see are for playing games; a GT 710's purpose is so you can run an office PC with a CPU that doesn't have integrated graphics. It's not even competitive with the integrated graphics in some of the "better" FM2+ APUs with R7 integrated graphics.
