So as I was playing Xdefiant, of all things, and my pc just switches off unexpectedly and then fails to post, with it just idling as I try to switch it back on with nothing coming up on my monitor. I notice the lights and fans on all other components appear to function except from my GPU. I switched the 3090 to an older GPU and it posts fine no issues. So it appears its the GPU that has died. There is no physical damage on it and the gigabyte brand light does not come on when its plugged in/ trying to launch etc. I purchased this through a whoelsaler on ebay who sold it as manufacturer refurbished, I purchased around 24 months ago. They say they cannot help since it is outside of their 12 month warranty that they offer. I assume Gigabyte are also not going to help since it is not from an offical Gigabyte or Gigabyte approved seller - I am going to contact them regardless. Is there any chance Gigabyte will offer a repair service that I can pay for even if I didn't get the card directly from them? As it seems a real waste to lose a 3090 after 2 just 2 years of use. Are there any reliable repair options I could pursue. What even are my best options at this point? I do not have the kind of heat guns or expertise myself to attempt to change any capacitors, besides I don't know for certain what went wrong with my card.
Furthermore, was I stupid to buy a manufacturer's refurbished product? It was heavily discounted but certainly seems stupid now.

Gigabyte was having probems with microcracks along the edge connector, and people who had them were saying that Gigabyte wouldn't RMA them, saying that it was user error that caused the cracks, either installed incorrectly, or installed without a support to prevent the card from sagging. I haven't heard any more about it since then, though, so I don't know if anyone ever managed to get an RMA exchange from them.
