I recently ran into a issue where I keep getting the blue screen of death and have tried everything to try and fix the issue I looked up the error code and it basically could be anything from a corrupt file to a hardware issue and a automatic repair will fail so seeing the system is about 7 years old I figure it's time to re build and do some upgrades. The system I have now has
• MSI Gaming M5 LGA1151 Motherboard
• i5 8600k Intel CPU
• 16gb Corsair Vengeance (4×8)
• Evga GTX 1070 GPU
• Corsair 650 PSU
And I'm looking to get
• AMD Ryzen 7 5700G 8-Core
•ASUS Prime B550-PLUS AMD AM4 Zen 3 (Which I can get in a bundle for under $300)
• G Skill Ripjaw V series DDR4 (4×8)
•MSI RTX 3050 Ventus 2X XS 8G OC
( Which my 1440p monitor has GSync so it's the reason I'm going with the 3050 (which I can get for under $200 and have read is a good pairing with the Ryzen 7)
All I can get for around $600. I only really play World of Warcraft at High settings so would like to here what you all think.

I'm all for upgrades and new systems but what you own is yes aging but still respectable specs if the main game your playing is World of Warcraft.

I get used systems all the time with your exact parts and go right to yanking the working hard drive/ SSD that came with the system and get a fresh SSD, install a clean Windows and test out system.

I like to keep the original hard drive and the state it came in and than I have a real side by side.

You could go for a whole new system but a $ 40.00 SSD from Amazon and a fresh install of Windows might just give you a solid system again.

Yeah that's the 1 thing I haven't done yet is a fresh install of Windows The SSD it's installed on is only 6 months old and didn't think it could be the problem the day before the blue screen of death happened I had turned on my system and got a window pop up saying something about CPU/Memory has changed so went into bios and re loaded my saved profile and it worked fine until the next day the day of the Blue screen I was able to get into windows and seemed to run fine until I tried to open a program and the blue screen would pop up eventually I couldn't get past the plue screen but I have a blank SSD that used to house my OS I'll try and reload my OS on that and see if that works

Probably ram issues.
You have two ram kits combined. Correct?
Try with two modules from same kit or with single module.

RTX 3050 is ~ same performance level as GTX 1070.
If your old graphics card is working properly, then I see no reason to replace it with 3050.

If you decide to get new ram, then get 2x16GB instead of 4x8GB.

Well I'm thinking it might be a ram issue noticed on the MoBo the DEBug DRAM led was blinking to to 2 out and just running with 2 4 gb and was able to get system up and was able to do a fresh Windows install on a SSD I had and and so far so good having to reinstall World of Warcraft which will take a while so once it's done installing and get it running that will be the true test if it is the RAM and or OS if no blue screens I'll by some new RAM to upgrade it back to 16gb

I think your right took out 2 of the 4gb and am only running with 2 also did a fresh install of Windows once World of Warcraft is done Installing that will be the true test if no blue screen then that was the issue I had tried running with only 2 before and kept getting blue screen but that was before a fresh Install of Windows if no more Blue screen then I k ow it was the RAM and will replace them

You can get a better performing 5700X + B550 for under $300 too.

Which model exactly? In general, Ryzen don't like Corsair RAM that much, especially with 4 sticks.

What's the exact model?
Well if I was going the AMD route I would be getting The G Skill Ripjaw but if I don't need to replace my MoBo and i5 because it's just a RAM/OS issue I'll stick to Vengeance
