So about a month ago I built a pc for my brother,:
AMD Ryzen 5600
Nvidia RTX3060 (GIGABYTE)
GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO AC
2 X 16GB GSKILL RIPJAWS @ 3200mghz
Corsair RM650X PSU
2TB WD HD
1 TB SAMSUNG EVO NVME SSD
for about a month it ran smooth as butter. however this week when launching games the screen goes black and the monitor claims there is no input. some games maintain sound others don't. the driver reset keybind doesn't work however the input sound can be heard. at first I thought it was the GPU so i reninstalled drivers to no results. so i placed it in mine, a similar pc:

the issue is his GPU works fine in my PC and mine works fine in his. ive been using Spider-Man Remastered as a test on both PCs as this usually crashes after a couple minutes of gameplay. Ive reset windows, Ive tried different RAM the only thing I haven't done is swapped PSUs as they are the same although i do believe his is a newer revision of the same model. ive also been monitoring temps and they seem fine my only thought is that it must be some power issue. also when taking off the side panel of his PC i did notice that the 2 pin split on the 8pin PCIE cable wasnt connected properly to the GPU due to the tension from cable managment. my first thought was that this was the cause of the black screen, however fixing this didn't help, and my second thought was that due to the constant power issue the GPU was faulty but as i said it runs flawlessly in my system. ill try and provide as much info as possible any suggestions would be appreciated. -thanks
