Hey guys,
I've had this GTX 970 for a long time, and recently upgraded my CPU to a Ryzen 7 3700x on an MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC.
Everything was running fine, and i decided to try and plug in a 2.5" 500 GB hard disk (not ssd) into my mobo.
This motherboard has 4 debugging lights on that indicate failures, and the VGA light stays on after tests when this hard drive is plugged in, compared to when it's not plugged in, it tests the gpu and proceeds to boot.
I have no idea the cause and see no relation between these 2 components other than power, so am i drawing too much power maybe?
I have a corsair RM 750i with the following attached in this pc:
Ryzen 7 3700x
Corsair h100i AIO Watercooler
1 500gb SSD
3 HDDs (1x 1TB/2x 500GB)
EVGA GTX 970
6 case fans
16 GBs 3200 adata RAM
Am i pulling too much power or are there any other suggestions as to what is going on here?
Thanks guys.
