Hi,

My current specs are:
Motherboard: BIOSTAR B450MH
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x
GPU: ASUS Radeon RX580 (8gb)
RAM: Kingston Fury Beast RGB 2x8GB 3200mhz
PowerSupply: 600w

I'm planning on switching to NVIDIA RTX GPU for better gaming experience (more fps and to be able to play new games for few more years),
GIGABYTE nVidia GeForce RTX 3060 WINDFORCE OC 12G rev. 2.0 GV-N3060WF2OC-12GD to be more precise.

Will this be a big bottleneck to my current CPU or it can work on 1080p at least?

If it's a huge bottleneck/problem please recommend which CPU i should buy to reduce bottleneck?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

PowerSupply: 600w
600W is the advertised wattage of the unit, what is the make, model and age of the unit? This might be what impedes you from migrating to the RTX3000 series.

You would also need to perform a CPU upgrade to something like a Ryzen 5000 series to get an uplift in performance on your platform while gaming but;
Motherboard: BIOSTAR B450MH
this board lacks a proper VRM design let alone one with heatsinks atop of it, which is another road block for your processor upgrade path.

You want to stick to 1080p? Where are you located, what is your budget and what is your preferred site for purchase? Make and model of your case(in case we have clearance issues to deal with)?
