It's decent entry level card. Though you should probably consider HD 7750 instead: performs the same, is cheaper and consumes less electricity.

what res? for 1600x900 and below the card still considered as okay. for 1080p it might not do so well if you plan on playing latest games (such as far cry 3) with high setting

Well 550 Ti is faster than it. But tell us the budget so maybe you can get 7750/70 !

yup the 550ti is faster. I had the same question when I was building my pc and I went with the 550ti too.

You might want to look at something like a 7770 as its almost the same price and a bit faster. Even a 6790 is a good choice.

Well 4 gb is good , 8gb is perfect (for gaming).

Edit : 6670 is a good budget gaming card.
