GTX 580

Hi All,

I am thinking of buying a GTX580 for my new build.

The reason I am choosing this card is to later upgrade (maybe in 8 months) by just adding a second one.

In 8 to 12 months, do you think the GTX580 will still be available and what price do you think it was run for ?

Yes, the 580 is likely to be available 8-12 months from today, and its price is likely to be a little lower. How much lower depends on how good the next gen really is.

If the price were to drop significantly, it would be because 1-or-2xNewCard has significantly better price performance, in which case you probably would upgrade to next gen.

What are you running that makes you think you'll need/want a second 580?
