Hello everyone,

I have a really old motherboard with a GT710. I decided to buy a GTX1660 Super but it doesn't work. I can fit it in and the fans will spin but nothing is coming through on the monitors. I don't know whether it is the GPU or the motherboard because I have been told if you have PCI-E on your motherboard, it will work with all graphics cards. Does anyone know why it is not working?

Specs:
i7-2700K
12 Year Old Lenovo Motherboard
GT710 to GTX1660 Super
CiT Seven Case
Thermaltake Litepower 650W PSU

hi, that gpu even if its pci-e compatible, still needs bios support
GTX9xx was last fully compatible with old boards, GTX 10xx about half of them worked right (mostly thanks to encrypted bios or not executing properly bios int 16h code)
GTX 16xx wont be any better
its up to bios makers to add support for pcie devices

If I somehow managed to update to 2014 bios, would it support it?
The GPU was released in October 2019
