Hi silly question , I have an old ASUS monitor nothing fancy , not 1080p either max resolution being 1366x768. And I recently bought the 8GB version of the 3060 my problem is that it doesn’t have VGA. Would a simple HDMI to VGA adapter work?

Like this one for example? Thanks in advance.

Make sure it is an "active" adapter and it'll work fine. HDMI is digital while VGA is analog so it has to actively convert the signal.

Check the specs for that word and it'll be fine
Hello thanks for you answer would you mind if I post the specs in here for you to analyse it and give a final answer? I am a complete “newbie” in this type of stuff 😅

I'll be home shortly and will look it over then. Sitting in doc office at the moment...
Thank you Math Geek , I’ll await your reply.
yup that one is good to go and do the job.

"Converte entrada digital HDMI em saída analógica VGA;"

nice thing is there is no software or anything like that. just plug cable in and it does its job. enjoy the pc :)
