Hello,
I had posted time ago about a tip about the RX5700, but things have changed a bit.
I bought a Ryzen 5 3600 and I need to get a GPU as I have sold my GTX 1060 at 130$.
I have 400€ budget and I need to buy a GPU in order to play 144hz 1080p.
As far as AMD launched my thoughts were getting a reference card, but I see many people who's even arguing against the AIB models.
I'm decided to buy a rx but cannot choose between the RX 5700 and RX 5700XT.
The reference 5700 here costs around 310€ whereas the reference 5700xt is priced around 370€.
Custom AIB models are still pretty expensive and I do not know what to do.
I need a GPU with which I can play 1080p 144hz at least for the next 2 years without issues, as I do not wanna change the GPU next year again just like I did with my GTX 1060.
I play: PUBG, Apex Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, Quake Champions, Battlefield 5, CSGO and Overwatch.

Do you think buying a reference 5700 for like 310€ could be a good option for 2 years of 144hz 1080p playing? Or should I wait some more for the AIB 5700xt to go down with prices?
Do you think a 5700xt would survive for more than 2 years in 144hz 1080p?

Thanks in advance for the kind help, i'm really confused.. atm I'm "playing" (because this is not playing ahahah) with a crap Nvidia GT640..

DISCLAIMER: didn't mention the Nvidia GPUs as they're more expensive and I am not interested in RTX. I buy from Italy.

If you want to go amd get partner models
I have a reference 5700 its not bad at all but if you want to play with power tables get partner models
If you prefer nvidia then get a 2060 or 2060 super they are good cards and yoy will have that ray tracing if it fancies u
But for raw performace at €400 5700xt does win especially if u get a partener model u can get it to 2080 levels

I will not buy reference card. How much is RTX 2070/2060? Which country?
RTX 2060 SUPER is around 430/440 euros. RTX 2070 SUPER is around 600+ euros.
rx5700 reference is 310 euros, rx 5700xt reference is 370 euros. AIB 5700xt versions are around 500 euros.
I wasn't looking at them mainly because I wanna buy a freesync monitor, and I do not have a specific model, but I know I'm gonna buy the less expensive 144hz that I will find with freesync. G-sync retrocompatibility through drivers on freesync monitor is officially supported on very few monitors, that's why I was looking for an AMD card for easy adaptive sync without killing myself searching for a compatible monitor.

Yes, i would have liked buying the 5700xt for its performance and frames per euros.

Corsair CX550M.
The reference XT is hot, that was the problem.

But I mean.. my main question is: if I had to buy something that can survive in 144hz 1080p for like 2 years, would the 5700 be a good choice or it's way way way better going for the xt version? I could get a AIB model for some little money more than 400$ but will it be a game changer compared to the 5700 non-xt?

If you buy a aib 5700 they have dual bios and this one person flashed a rx 5700xt bios to the slower on board bios and he gets roughly 5700xt performance

I have seen that on reddit, but it's obvious that if something goes wrong then I will still have a 5700.

My question was just if a 5700 would be enough for 1080p 144hz for at least 2 years or if the 5700XT would last for some more.
