Hi,

So I recently upgraded my laptop m.2 to a 1TB instead of 256gb. I also have a 1TB normal SSD inside. I reinstalled Windows and Ubuntu dual boot on my m.2. Everything seems fine, I start installing stuff etc, my drivers want me to restart my pc for the GPU, so I do so.... Now when the computer restarts I just get a screen that says "No Media Detected, insert boot drive" and nothing loads, when I go to my laptop bios it doesn't detect either of the drives as boot drives, but it can see the 1TB normal SSD listed under drives on the main screen.

I did boot Ubuntu from a usb and it can see both drives but the m.2 says unknown and the normal SSD says unmounted.

What could this be?

I would reinstall the original M.2 SSD and confirm that everything still works.

Do you have smartmontools (smartctl) on your USB stick? If so, it might be worth retrieving SMART reports from both M.2 SSDs. If an SSD goes bad, sometimes it identifies with a generic factory alias rather than its actual model number.
