Question Help! My portable hard drive does not show up on my computer

I've been storing alot of my old laptop data on a newly bought portable hard drive. It is detectable on any laptop but for some reason my laptop doesn't detect it. Windows does not even give USB unrecognizable warning. I checked my disk management and it does not detect too!



My portable hard drive is WD My Passport Ultra (i dont know if this info is relevant)

Try to switch to another USB port. Maybe your usb port isn't capable to feed enough current to the drive.

I've tried every single port, still the same

It is not uncommon for external drives to have physical issues. If the data on the drive is of value to you, stop connecting the drive and seek professional data recovery assistance before more damage is caused.

I don't think the problem is with the external drive, because other laptop can connect and detect my external drive with no problems

Which one should I download?
