So I recently got a used 6800 XT and a brand new Thermaltake Smart BM3 750W PSU. During the first 3 days, I didn't notice any artifacting or crashing, everything was perfect. I then decided to undervolt my GPU, because the PSU was making a weird buzzing noise. The undervolting made the buzzing go away for about 24 hours, after which it was extremely loud again.
Thats when I noticed the crashes and artifacts in certain games. I should probably mention, that I dont get any artifacts in windows, only when opening very specific apps, like discord. I would launch discord, and it would cause very small black squares on both displays. I would then move the window or open a menu inside Discord, and the artifacting would be gone until I reopened it. In fullscreen games, I havent gotten artifacts once, it only seems to occur in certain windows apps.
I do have another issue though, which is, that games like FN seems to crash without apparent reason. I get the "Driver Timeout Crash" after playing for a short amount of time. The weird thing is, that I dont have ANY issues in other demanding games, like Cyberpunk. I can play at 4k60fps without a single issue occuring. I also havent seen an issue in any other game.
Now I dont know whether its my GPU or PSU. If anyone could help, I would be very grateful. The PSU is easy to replace, as its still within the Amazon return window, but I'm worried it could be the GPU (except its weird how the artifacts occur very weird and only for certain apps). I did a HWiNFO logging as well, and didnt notice anything unusual. The memory and normal GPU clocks where within the specified amount.
