Question Help with AIO h100i/Mobo wiring (Image included)

Hi,

I am installing my first AIO - Corsair h100i.
I'm looking for some clarity on confusion I had while reading the instructions. (Attached below)

Mainly:

• Are "headers" any socket on the mobo, or are "headers" only the ones on the edge for the front case usb ports?
  
  
• My mobo has a "sys_Fan4_PUMP", this isn't mentioned on the AIO instructions.
  • What do i plug into this?
• My board has (2) usb 2.0 hub sockets around the middle of the board, AND "f_usb1" "f_usb2" headers.
  • What is the difference between the 2.0 hubs and the "f_usb" headers?
  • Which one of these do i plug in the"iCUE USB cable from the AIO?
  • Do i lose one of the front case usb ports if i plug in the AIO into one of the "f_usb1/2" ports?

The AIO instructions say to:

• Connect the Pump power cable to a Sata power plug.
  • Are all Sata sockets "power" plugs?
• Connect Pump Tach cable to CPU_FAN.
• Connect fans to the shrouded 4pin connector.
• Connect USB cable to mobo USB 2.0 Header.

Considering my board has a designated "Sys_Fan4_PUMP" and Usb 2.0 Hubs:

1. Does "Pump Tach Cable" still plug into "CPU_FAN"?
2. Does the "iCUE Usb Cable" plug into "f_usb1/2" or "Usb 2.0 Hub"?

Yeah, wiring AIOs can be tricky, even more so when when there's RGB involved.

The 3pin on figure 1 goes on CPU_FAN, just like you mentioned. The USB cable thing goes into either of the connectors numbered as 15 in your motherboard manual.

Recently purchase AIO as well but my Mobo is z590i ultra aorus and I don't know where to connect the usb 2.0 connector

It depends on which AIO you have. If it's really a 2.0 cable, use the connector directly under your 4 SATA connectors. Just to be sure, which AIO do you have?

Do you have the Mobo manual?

Mine listed the "f_usb" sockets on the Mobo as usb 2.0.

Check which are listed as USB 2.0 in your manual
