My model is a Gigabyte RTX 4060 Ti Eagle 8GB. My version is one without OC. My problem is that I have black screens and they told me that it could be that I have a corrupted GPU BIOS. I have already uninstalled the drivers with DDU in safe mode twice and installed others, and the problem persists even with HDMI. I have Windows 10.Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
I was recommended to update the BIOS of my GPU due to some problems I was having
And what problem would that be?
Please pass on the make and model of your Gigabyte GPU, assuming it's by Gigabyte. Please be warned that flashing the BIOS on a motherboard or VBIOS on a GPU can result in a bricked device if not done the right way
I saw it in a video investigating my problem and it mentions that it can be done from the page, I even think that Gigabyte itself has some instructions but I don't understand it very well at all. I also tried looking for the BIOS in Tech PowerUp but the model of my card doesn't appear. I have an 8GB RTX 4060ti Eagle and the version that appears is the same but with OC and I don't know if it is compatible with my card since it could render it unusable.Who suggested updating the GPU BIOS? Had you previously changed it?
I ask because the Gigabyte apps generally don't perform such updates. Motherboard, yes, but not GPUs.
I tried it on my friend's PC and the same thing happened, but it's a matter of the Nvidia drivers. In the video, he mentions that it could be a corruption of the vBIOS.Before you potentially brick your GPU, I would suggest testing it in a different PC. See if it works properly elsewhere.
That's the overclock version, mine isn't that one. This is what I would recommend you update an Nvidia GPU BIOS with:

NVIDIA NVFlash 5.867 Download
NVIDIA NVFlash is used to flash the graphics card BIOS on Blackwell, Ada, Ampere, Turing, Pascal and all older NVIDIA cards. NVFlash supports BIOSwww.techpowerup.com
Is this your exact GPU (note the model number)?

Can you find the exact version you have and post a link to it?That's the overclock version, mine isn't that one.
This is the BIOS version I have on my graphics card, but when I search for it in Tech PowerUp, that card doesn't appear. I only see the one with its overlocked version. Can you find the exact version you have and post a link to it?
Because that's the version I bought. I remember there were two versions. One normal and one overclocked. But I haven't checked the number on the back. And if you're wondering how I found it, I downloaded GPU Z and checked the BIOS version I had, and that page I sent you came up.How did you determine this is your exact GPU? My the label on the back of it? What is the exact model number on that label?
I tried it on my friend's PC and the same thing happened,
That's what they mention: that due to Nvidia updates, my GPU's BIOS could have been corrupted, and I'm desperate to fix it. On the other hand, I didn't quite understand which unverified version you're referring to.Entendido.
I have even tried with version 566.36 and the error still persists and they say that if that happens it is because I have a corrupt BIOS and my last option is to go to a driver version from August or September. What is happening exactly?
The latest Geforce drivers are unreliable for cards that aren't 5xxx series. So if whatever this is is driver related do try an older driver.
Do you understand any Spanish? Because I speak Spanish, and the video I found that mentions what I'm telling you about the BIOS also speaks Spanish, or you could also watch it with YouTube's automatic translator. Anyway, I'll leave you the link to see if you can help me. It's from an overclocker from Uruguay.BIOS updates and driver updates are completely different processes. Updating drivers doesn't break the GPU's BIOS.
I have a 700-watt EVGA, but a friend also tested it with a 1000-watt 80 Plus Gold. That video does not confirm a corrupted BIOS. As stated earlier, driver updates don't typically corrupt the GPU's BIOS. Those are different processes.
What PSU (power supply) make/model are you using, by the way?
But the version I sent you is the one I already have installed. I couldn't find a different one. And what number are you referring to? I can see several numbers and codes, but I don't know which one you want exactly.Power should be okay. At this point, you really need the exact, detailed model number for the label on the back of the GPU itself.
Otherwise, you can try using NVFlash to install the BIOS version you mentioned. However, don't be surprised if it changes nothing.
Take a picture of the label. Upload to a site like imgur.com and then post a link here. But the version I sent you is the one I already have installed. I couldn't find a different one.
