I have already installed a Samsung 970 and it has windows on it. But I'm having issues with my PC freezing. I am curious as to whether it has to do with how Windows was installed on the PC. See here: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/screen-freezes-kind-of-randomly.3543641/#post-21404206

Anyway, I want to rule out that it's not an issue with my SSD by booting from my HDD (also has Windows on it) and seeing if the freezing continues to happen. This way I would know if it is a hardware or software issue.

Make the HDD the boot drive in BIOS.
