How to determine north and southbridge of motherboard

Hello,
I'm Michel i want to know about how to identifying north & south bridge of a mother board ?

The northbridge is the heatsink in the middle of your motherboard.The other smaller heastink below it is the southbridge.

In this imiage you can see where each is located.

Like the picture shows, the northbridge should be closest to the CPU.

remove the heat sink if you can replace the heatsink compound there and put silicon grease on it.
