I just got a laptop and I run it using my AC adapter and I intend on doing some pretty intensive stuff. I was wondering how to turn the powernow! feature off for the processor (its a 2500+ mobile at 1.87ghz). Google searches told me to put power options to "always on" but that doesn't seem to work. Sisoft is yielding it a 2200+ with that option and plus I want to be able to unplug it without the screen dimming and such for presentations. Is there a regedit or a proggie to disable powernow altogether?

Thanks all

Screen dimming is usually taken care of in bios, at least in my laptop. Some options for speed reduction is also in bios depending on the laptop.
