Hi guys,

So we are with BT fibre 250, the normal speed for this should be 300 MBps download and 50 Mbps upload. The minimum guarantee is 150 mbps but everyone in the house is experiencing drops. Currently I am connect through ethernet straight to hub. I have a good ethernet cable so this is not the issue and my xbox is downloading at 10mbps. I think it was never set up right, connection for wireless devices are usually around 60mbps, very rarely this is over 150mbps that is gaurenteed, but once I do a speed check on the BT app the hub is saying that it is getting over 200mbps (Ihttps://imagizer.imageshack.com/img922/8626/7wn5I8.png) so I'm wondering why this is so low of an output.. ? There wouldn't be 5 strong devices connected to this hub, maybe 10 total including TVs etc.. but I wouldn't think that it should be this low.

With corona virus it is hard to get a BT engineer to sort this or possibly look over it but if anyone has any suggestions on what could potentially be the problem that would help a lot.

Referencing images I have shown the setup that BT installed, from the hub it is connected to the open reach white hub (Don't know what this is doing). It is connected with a grey cable (https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/9359/ZGnxDy.jpg).

The open reach white hub has a wire coming from it (optical) (RED marker). Yellow Marker is running to the back of the open reach phone line. These both run over the doors (red and yellow marker) (https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/8670/AMdkRP.jpg) and into another open reach port (https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img922/5131/FQEauO.jpg) (to me these wires don't look correct as only 2 blue cables are connected and the rest are wrapped around the full wire). No idea where these are going after this..

You can pretty much ignore most those cables. The open reach box is called a ONT all it basically does is convert fiber to ethernet. You know it is working properly because the router which is attached with the grey wire gets proper speed. The other cable is for old style telephone stuff and will not impact your internet speed.

More important where do the 2 white wires plugged into the back to the router go. One of those is not a valid ethernet cable. Flat wire has internal wires that are too thin to meet the standard for a ethernet cable. Many times you get lower speed and other problems using these cables.
You need to do all your testing on ethernet. Wifi is to dependent on your house to estimate any speed. Also...
