So I have a monitor that supports 144hz. I just recently rebuilt my computer with a i9 9900k, 2080ti (Zotac if that helps), 16 Gbs RAM, and other stuff that doesn't pertain to this question. I have tried multiple HDMI cables around my house (pretty old cables) and I have tried a HDMi to display port cable to no avail.

My graphics card only has one HDMI port and like 3-5 Display ports. No other ports. Is this normal for this card?

Thank you so much in advance! This is really killing me!

I don't know the monitor exactly besides Acer, but my friend has the same monitor running 144Hz and As I said, I was previously running it on my old computer (Running VGA or DVI (I don't know the difference)). Thank you!

it supports 144Hz though. It doesn't have Display ports.
The HDMI port on that monitor only supports 1080p@60Hz, the dual link DVI port support 1080p@144Hz.
Your options are.
  1. Active DP to dual link DVI adapter(~$100) and can be problematic. https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-DisplayPort-DVI-Adapter-Dual-Link/dp/B00A493CNY
  2. New monitor that has DP or supports HDMI 1.4 or higher
  3. Return the gpu and get a GPU with a DL DVI port(some still have them but they are being phased out).
