I need help on my RAM Timing

I bought a Kingston Value Ram (1Gig) with this product ID KVR800D2N5
which I believe has the Timing og 5-5-5-18-23 (shown below)

I already have a 2Gig Kingston Value Ram (KVR800D2N6) memory installed on my system, which I also believe has the timing of 6-6-6-18-24

What correct timing setting should I apply? Should I used the 5-5-5 timing or the 6-6-6? Or, are this two modules compatible?

I am currently using this timing 4-4-4-12-16

If your system runs fine at 4-4-4-12-16 then leave it alone. But try memtesting your ram just to make sure it is stable.

Thanks OverClkr.... just a few more questions..

Does the 4-4-4-12-16 setting would cause my system to run under-performance? And does the timing setting affect the FSB of my system?

No, the lower the timings the faster/better as long as your system is stable. The FSB can be raised as well in the Bios. Try running CPU-Z and check your timings and SPD.

If you are mixing memory speeds, you may need to go with the slower. What I would do is relax your timings to 6-6-6-18, increase RAM voltage by a tenth, then install the new memory. Then test and work your settings downward until your system becomes unstable.

thnks guys.. but my system is unstable... so a bought a new one this time I bought identical rams to avoid instability... again thanks guys... i have read a lot of articles and now I am runing my system in dual channel... a big leap from a 5.1 base score to 7.2 (Windows 7 RC)
