SSD's for your system NEEDs to be 2.5 inch and SATA.
Any SATA 2.5 inch SSD will work. literally any SATA 2.5 inch SSD.
M.2 format NVME and SATA drives WILL NOT WORK without additional hardware.
SATA 2.5 inch. yes
M.2. no
Thank you for the answer!
Can i buy an used ssd without a cd or will i not be able to install without cd ?

You need a sata 2.5" ssd.
What will you be using this for?
If you want to easily move a current windowd C drive to it, I recommend using a samsung ssd.
The supported devices will be documented in the ssd migration app manual .
Manual and app can be downloaded here:

Atm i have a hdd 500gb and im running out of space, i have 100gb left and i heard a ssd eill make my pc a bit quicker too so i wanted to add another 200gb of space to my pc and also make it quicker to load

A SSD will have a specific number of update writes during it's lifetime.
A used ssd may be a problem if you do not know how many writes it has left.
Normally not a problem with a 1tb ssd.
A 1tb samsung 860 QVO is about $110.

On an older case without 2.5" mounting capabilities, you might also buy an adapter:

You will also need a sata cable and a spare sata power connector from your psu.
