I5 3570K with OC 4.5 - 4.6GHz

I will buy an i5 3570K. I want to make about 4.5 to 4.6 GHz OC.

What do you think of this cpu cooler?

I have fear that the thermal paste over the processor time breaking runs. Is that possible?

4.5-4.6 is difficult, 4.4 on air is easier, a lot easier. if you want a high OC, don't constrain yourself in cost.

i'm at 4.3 on a xigmatek achillies, maxing at 60-65C.

hyper 212 plus is good. any decent ait cooler will get you to 4.4. beyond that might require water. H80/100 etc.

well your best bet on air are the ones i mentioned on ivy bridge Cooler Master 212 EVO 412s 612S none of those are going to get the job done if your willing to settle for 4.2GHZ then maybe but noway in hell can any those handle 4.6GHZ sorry it's just not possible

:lol: i like it better then ivy yes i have both i don't care for ivy but it doesn't mean i5-2500k is better 😉 Both CPU's would work fine. Most people would say go for the latest tech which would be the 3570K but for gaming you're not going to notice any difference between the 2 chips.
