Supreme commander (first part) is sorta a spiritual successor of total annihialation. They'll just need to make supreme commander 3 more like forged alliance than sc2

I would only say, we are missing one really good, extremely good and awesome game.
Freespace 2... if you have played Freespace 1 and Freespace 2, you know what i'm talking about.

"Case in point: the Bio Rifle" What??? The bio rifle is the NOOBIEST gun in all of UT. How dare you even mention UT without paying respects towards the shock rifle, because that is UT's best weapon. As a long time competitive UT player myself I don't guess, I KNOW that the person who wrote that article is some noob who whenever he played UT, he immediately plays something like ctf, onslaught, or war. That basically means that you're the scum of UT and you don't contribute to anything. DM and DUEL is where you need to be.

Hell yeah for Just Cause 2---yeah, the voice acting was laughably stereotypical, but my lord...the graphics, the graphics! And the ability to vault into attacking choppers to beat up the enemy pilot was awesome. There MUST be a sequel to this game!!! Also, a vote for World In Conflict...very atmospheric single player campaign. LA Noire....love to see a sequel to that as well.

The only one that should not be on the list is CIV when they removed having more then one unit a square in the last one that killed it. I do think they should do a roller coaster tycoon 4 game and a simcity 5. Also a Rainbow Six game that it all in an urban/building environment and no mission the require you sneak around with out getting detected. Also another Jedi Knight game.

FREELANCER 2, halo 3, Race driver :grid 2, quakelive on idtech4, vampires:the bloodline...2, stlker 4, rise of nations 2,unreal 3,far cry 3, all points bulletin.

Definitely agree with Freelancer 2, a good Xwing vs Tie Fighter sequel with real campaigns for both sides (on modern hardware? can you imagine!?) and Dungeon Keeper.

Add to that Startopia (see if you can find it on abandonware if you've never played it, it's hugely entertaining) and Railroad Tycoon. Sucks that they stopped making good tycoon games just when computer hardware got powerful enough to handle some seriously entertaining stuff.

And why in the world is Simcity not on this list?

I agree with several posters..

Freespace 2 was awesome and the mod community really kept that game alive over the years. One of the best space-craft flight/shooters ever made and totally deserves a newer, updated version.

A Better list IMHO (in no particular order)
1. Company of Heroes
2. Any decent jet fighter sim - where have they all gone!? Falcon F4 follow up?
3. X-wing vs Tie Fighter
4. Homeworld series
5. Funny Lucas arts games - any of them, Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, Sam & Max
6. Sim Games - return of Sim City and others - not based around the sims!
7. Theme Hospital
8. Transport Tycoon
9. Carmegeddon
10. Half-life follow up
11. Any classic Fantasy RTS - Warcraft 3 or larger scale like Spellforce
12. Interstate 76 (with a killer soundtrack like the original)
13. Rollercoaster Tycoon
14. GTA London (or somewhere outside familiar faux US)
15. Baldurs Gate Series

dude, i was about to mention VTM: Bloodlines. lol. nice to know to someone else remembers how awesome that game is. it really needs a sequel. the endling was hanging.

Disappointing to not see Star Wars: Rogue Squadron on here. Online multiplayer for that would be amazing.

[citation][nom]gwolfman[/nom]The Dig or more noteworthy, Full Throttle![/citation]

Ooooh I'd really love to see The Dig get a sequel. In fact, there are many excellent adventure series that really would be awesome on current gen hardware. King's Quest anyone? (And I don't mean the 3D one off they did a while back, but a really tongue in cheek epic ala V or IIV.)
