Question Inconsistent Valorant FPS (100–300) with RTX 3050 – Need Simple Help!

Hey everyone, I need a bit of help. I have a PC with an RTX 3050, Ryzen 5 4600G, and 16GB of RAM, and I play on an ASUS VA24EHF 23.8" IPS 100Hz monitor. But when I play Valorant, I usually only get around 100 FPS.

A friend of mine has the same GPU and gets close to 300 FPS, so I’m trying to figure out why there's such a big difference. I’ve checked my drivers and temps, and everything seems normal.

Weirdly, about 1 out of 10 times when I launch the game, I do manage to hit 300 FPS—so I know the hardware can do it, but it’s just not consistent. I’m not super tech-savvy, so if anyone has suggestions, please explain them in simple terms. Could it be a CPU bottleneck or maybe a setting I’m missing? Any help would be appreciated!

Check to see what other processes you have set to run at startup that you may not need.

Make sure you have 'XMP' settings on for your RAM.

Could consider various scaling options and so on...

For a quick and cheapo update to this system, something like a used Ryzen 5 5600 or better (according to motherboard VRM) could give you a pretty decent uplift.
