Just recently i got my new computer,
AMD Ryzen 3 2200G, 3500Mhz 4 core Processor,
AMD RX 580 Graphics card,
And more that i don't really know about im not amazing at this stuff. But before, my computer would be able to give me 100% of the time, less than 20 ping on any game, even while my parents watched netflix and scrolled through twitter or whatever. Same with my xbox, my xbox can still run all games with almost perfect ping. But since getting this new computer, i have insanely high ping spikes every half second, reaching up to 1300ms. I've followed countless youtube tutorials and couldn't find anyone else with my problem on here. Since our router used to be bad, we now have basically the best router we could possibly buy. If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated, as i cannot really play anything on my computer. Thanks in advance, Axel.

Make and model of your router? Have you tried making sure your Ethernet drivers are up to date? If so, try uninstalling and reinstalling your networking drivers. Since this is a new build, mind sharing your specs with us?

List them like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Check and see which firmware version you're on for your router and the BIOS version for your motherboard.

The problem all of a sudden fixed itself, but this has happened before, i watched a video on youtube and got it working, then hours later it came back. Here's all the info you asked for:

Make and model of Router: BT Hub 6A?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 2200G with Radeon Vega Graphics 3.50Ghz

Motherboard: All i can seem to find in msinfo32 is BIOSTAR Group, TB350-BTC

RAM: 8GB

HDD

GPU: Radeon RX580 Series

PSU: VS350 Corsair

Chassis: ???

OS: Windows 10

Router Firmware: SG4B1000E01E

BIOS Version: 5.14

I am also unaware on how to update my ethernet driver, and the same with my networking drivers. Thanks.

Intermittent problems are the most difficult to find.

If the problem happens to this one PC only and no where else, then the problem is local to this PC and your router whatever rest of stuff most likely OK.

I would make note of my down/up network usage, suspecting local congestion caused by a housemate etc. If either down/up are maxed out for more than a few seconds, something, someone in your house are doing something. There are tools over at dslreports.com that aids you monitoring this.

I Apologise but could you simplify for someone who has no idea what any of that means ahaha, Thanks

If u simply go "I don't know anything" there is nothing any1 can do. Nobody here on these free forums have the immense patience to give it to you step-by-step, and translate every technical terminology to english. If u have any hope of DIY'ing this u must posses immense curiosity and the wiliness to learn, mostly on your own. If you have no time nor interest and "just want it to work" the best advice I can give you is bring home some friend/family members geek and bribe them with free beers/pizza something. All u can hope from free forums like Toms is, we can provide you general directions, and unstuck you as needed.

Hey Ninja, he's saying there is some troubleshooting steps you should take while these things happen. We need these details in order to help you. When you hit spikes like that, jump on your phone and do a speed/latency test. We need to know whether it is specifically your computer or your network as a whole.

He was also saying that there are tools that can monitor total internet usage in your house to let you know if you are maxing out your internet speeds. dslreports.com

You will have to do a few things on your own here to troubleshoot your own network. Otherwise we cannot help.

So i had a ping problem recently before, but it kind of died down, but now its back again. Ive realised that its definetly about my computer and not my internet, since its fine on all other devices in the house, and wasnt happening on my old computer. I Did a ping test on netmeter.co.uk, (Which i tried to send a picture of but it takes the link as spam) But it shows that my ping goes in spikes from like 9 to 200 then back to like 15 and up to 600, super quickly. I Don't think its my computer's specs since my old computer was worth about 600 pounds and it worked perfectly, now this new one is about 900 pounds and it is horrible. Let me know if you need any information to help me,
I just want to be able to play games again, asap.

Thanks
