Hey guys, I'm looking to get a new PC soon but I really don't know wich CPU to get.. It will either be Intel i7 950 or Intel i7 2600..
I'm not looking to overclock and I just want the best performance for gaming.

If any1 can help me with this choice i'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

I don't see any reason to compare those twos. 2600 is better in everyway. Faster, cheaper, newer arch. and cooler.

but yea for gaming 2500k is just the best valued processor

Best CPU for you would be the i7 2600. Or if you don't need the hyperthreading, the i5 2400 or 2500. Don't need the K model if you have no plans on OCing it

I would get the I5 2500k, but just think the new sandy bridges are so easy to overclock and you get a huge amount of performance. Maybe you should your mind on overclocking.

Guys, honestly any one of those two won't even be taxed to 100% in gaming. Not even close. Just get the cheaper one and spend the extra $$$ on a good video card.

again tech triple channle memory has no real benefit in real time, a few percent at most, so he really doesnt need the 950, its a dead socket tbh, its still alive but its not the future of intel i can tell u that for shur
