Interesting eBay Graphics Card Issue

There is a graphics card I am willing to buy that is brand new on eBay for a relatively good price, but there's a catch. The Bar Code was cut off for rebate purposes. If I win the auction, what risks are present in buying such an item? Will I still be able to receive a warranty from EVGA?

But there is always risk when buying something over the internet. But you can try to lower those risk by buying from sellers with a high rating, using paypal, that sort of thing.
