There are lots of 3.4 GHz Xeons. Your question cannot be answered properly without out knowing which generation you are talking about. What is the model of the processor you have in mind?

Its a case of why take a gun to a knife only fight, you don't need a Xeon to power games, lest us also not say it will cost you a fair amount more than a regular DT chip. If you have no defined usage for a Xeon then stop monkeying around and get yourself a i5 or i7.
