Currently planning my new system (current system being 7+ years old now it’s time for a worth upgrade)
Planned specs are below, is this a worthwhile build or should I wait for the Ryzen 7 9800x3D and next gen graphics cards releasing in early 2025
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Cooler: NZXT Kraken Elite 280 RGB
Motherboard: Gigabyte X870 Gaming X
Ram: 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RGB (2x16GB)
Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M.2 Nvme
Graphics Card: EITHER-
Nvidia RTX 4070 Super
Or
AMD RX 7900 GRE (can’t find one I like the look of that’s currently available/in stock)
Case: Antec C8 Wood
PSU: Gigabyte UD750GM (750W 80+Gold)
Build coming in just shy of £2k
I’m thinking maybe waiting the extra few days and see if I can bag a 7 9800x3D, but do I really need it?
I’m not an extreme gamer, mainly simulators (FS25, MFS) and war games (BF, COD & Apex)
Opinions very welcome
