[SOLVED] Is my PSU fine for 3080?

Solution
320 watt video card, 170 watt processor under full turbo load although the PL2 is set to 210 watts (9900K)

So 490 watts just for the processor and video card, 30 watts for a AIO to cool the 9900K and about 60 watts for the rest would put you in the 580 watt area under full load. I would buy a new power supply.

What if I kept the 9700 non K? Would you still recommend getting a new PSU with that CPU?

That would take about 30 watts off and if your not using a AIO cooler about 30 more so in the 520 watt area under full load.

That would be about 80% under full load it should work although I had rather it be in the 70% area personally.
I guess I better get a new one then. Just in case. I do have an AIO, so....

Planning on getting a 3080 at launch. Not really planning on getting a new PSU, but I would if I had to. Got mine a couple of months ago. This is what I have: https://www.newegg.com/corsair-cx-series-cx650m-650w/p/N82E16817139148

I currently have an i7-9700 (non K) CPU. Planning on getting a 9900K soon, but don’t plan on overclocking.

Should I get a new PSU?
It's not just 750 being a safe bet. The CX650M is not very good quality in itself. I'd suggest a TX750M or RM750/750x
