Hello,

Here is my current build:
  • Case: NZXT H500i ATX
  • CPU: i5 6500 LGA1151
  • GPU: MSI GTX 1060 6 GB
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x8 GB
  • MOBO: MSI Z170A M3 LGA1151
  • PSU: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze
I want to upgrade my CPU to i5 9400F, and I'll purchase it from the following link:

I want to purchase the following motherboard for the new CPU to be compatible because my old motherboard doesn't support 9th-generation CPUs:

I used the following bottleneck test website:

Bottleneck results:

TLDR for bottleneck results: Less than 1% at 100% CPU and 100% GPU on 1080p, 1440p, and 4K.

Is everything going to be compatible?

Also, do I have to upgrade my PSU to accommodate for the new CPU and MOBO?

Thanks in advance. I've trusted this community since 2018 to build my own computer and other computers. 😊

Bottleneck calculators are total garbage never even look at them!

What country are you buying parts from you can get probably better parts for the same money unless your buying used parts.

I am purchasing parts from the UAE. I want new parts only. I am not planning to buy any other CPU that is not 8th- or 9th-generation because I am afraid that I will face bottleneck with my GPU.

Not sure what UAE is even but just a example.

The UAE is the United Arab Emirates. Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emirates.

Do these parts work perfectly fine with my MSI GTX 1060 6 GB GPU?

What is the A7 BIOS? How do I get it? Please explain.
If you look on the BIOS download page -- https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/H310M-PRO-M2/support#down-bios You will see different versions (updates over time).
The "A7" version I referenced is the 7B28vA7 released in April 2019. It is likely you have a newer BIOS from the factory if you have a new motherboard.
I would say there is a 99.9% chance you are good. With the additional info that you have a U0 stepping rather than an R0 then you need an MINIMUM BIOS version that is even older. The A4 BIOS minimum you need was released in 2018.

Is the aforementioned build that contains the 300 series motherboard compatible with the following CPU?

"Intel Core Desktop Processor Without Processor Graphics LGA1151 300 Series 95W BX80684I79700K"

https://www.amazon.ae/Intel-Desktop-Processor-Graphics-BX80684I79700K/dp/B07HHN6KBZ/?th=1

Also, do I need a CPU fan since it's a K processor? If yes, could you please help me find one that's compatible with my CPU and motherboard on https://www.amazon.ae?
300 series motherboards are compatible with that CPU.
