When running Everest I see the following regarding my system:

AGP Controller:
AGP Version 3.00
AGP Status Disabled
AGP Device nVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT
Supported AGP Speeds 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x
Current AGP Speed 4x
Fast-Write Supported, Disabled
Side Band Addressing Supported, Disabled

How do I enable AGP 8x and Fast Write?

Many thanks

Sandi

I never used that particular board but on most boards you get a agp file to
install on the installation disk for the board.
fastwrite is usually enabled in the bios.

Install the chipset drivers.

Your motherboard CD should have some, or on this page:

http://www.asus.com.tw/support/download/item.aspx?ModelName=K8N&Type=All

there is a file Asus has called K8N_2KXP.zip (28MB) and that is
the chipset drivers that will allow enumeration of the AGP port
on the chipset.

You can also get chipset drivers from Nvidia. Select "Platform"
and then "Unified Driver" plus your OS:

http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
