I hope that's the right category for the post

so i got an HP G8 255 (3500u) 1920x1080 ips screen...and yes there is no way this screen is IPS,the viewing angles are horrible
the panel ID from AIDA 64 is AUO3791

the question is, what can I do? how can I find if there's any other better compatible panel or I should just sell the laptop?!

thnx

then comparing it with the statement you made of the bad viewing angles, would suggest you have a laptop with an SVA/VA panel, not an IPS panel.

which could mean you've got a TN panel(sold by HP as SVA) which is horrible in terms of viewing angle(when compared to TN v VA v IPS).

The model has 3 different possible displays.
39.6 cm (15.6 in) diagonal, HD (1366 x 768), SVA , Anti-Glare WLED, 250 nits, eDP micro-edge, 45% NTSC
39.6 cm (15.6 in) diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), IPS, Anti-Glare WLED, 250 nits, eDP micro-edge, 45% NTSC

What to do, if the seller listed it as IPS, and it's not, return it.
